Although you asked for a very specific dating service, I wanted to add
my 2 cents. About 2 years ago, I decided it was time to get serious
about finding a compatiable partner. So, I too decided to try an
"introduction service". The cost was about $1,000, with an option to
meet up to 5 potential mates. Did it work for me? No. There were some
absolutely wonderful girls, but nothing clicked enough to develop a
long term relationship.
So, then, with quite a fair bit of reluctance, I decided to try a
couple of online dating services. Specifically Lavalife, Match &
American Singles. (You can find good reveiws on these sites at
http://www.local-singles.us/dating.html).
I had some remarkable results. In fact, so remarkable that my fiancee
and myself meet through Lavalife. With online dating, there sems to be
a much better opportunity of meeting who you want. First, you can see
their pictures...to determine if there is a physical attraction. Then,
I found a great technique to get to know someone even better was to
invite them to chat on MSN or one of the other instant message
systems. I found this to be preferable to phone calls. You can tell a
lot about a person by how they respond in a chat room..and avoid the
danger of giving out your number.
I for one never gave out my number until AFTER meeting them. It's easy
to avoid someone on line, if you have to, but much more difficult if
you have to try and avoid someone on the phone.
Online dating has come along way. I would give it a try. And at prices
ranging around $25 per month, it's a heck of a lot more reasonable
then introduction services. To read more about Lavalife, American
