Question ID: 435566
I am attempting to find an information source that can give price
quotations for catering services for charter flights. The data source
should be database convertible (some parsing issues are fine), and be
updated on a reasonable time basis. The source should be either
publically available or within a low budget/subscription cost.

The best possible source would be airport code specific, meal category
specific (peanuts or steak), by passenger cost estimates benchmarks
with direction to specific vendors in the locale. For example,
purchasing 1 passenger meal units of a specific sandwich/dessert/drink
combination in LGA (La Guardia airport, New York City) would cost
approximately $???.

I have interest in both domestic (US) cities and in international cities.

I will accept direction to a good domestic-only source with sufficient
detail to allow for a region-specific costing estimates, and will tip
based on the quality of the located data source(s).

Thank you!

Here is the answer to your question.

To my under standing most charter airline come with gourmet catering
in the price of your jet. Also here is a site that might be useful.

http://www.onesky.com/partners_hospitality.html

It has several different charter jet lines that will give you free
gourmet catering with the purchase of your jet.

Thank you for your response.

However, in this case, I am looking for benchmark costing information
from a charter airline's perspective, in order to research a better
price-quoting mechanism for an existing charter carrier. Effectively,
I want to know how a small charter airline would go about contracting
for catering service in a new airport without an existing catering
contact, and how to estimate the cost quickly with regional or airport
specific costing benchmarks.
