I am trying to find a poem I heard more than 65 years ago. It is
written in dialogue about a little boy who dies in the winter. I
remember the line, " he was so cold, he no could wait" Can you gget me
this poem?

I believe that the poem you are looking for is ?Da Leetla Boy? by
Thomas Augustine Daly.  It starts as follows:

?Da spreeng ees com?! but oh, da joy  
  Eet ees too late!  
He was so cold, my leetla boy,  
  He no could wait.?
