HELP! I have an annoying problem with Microsoft Word. BACKGROUND: This week I did a group paper, and when I downloaded my friend's attachment that had her part of the paper, it changed my preferences in Word. I think it installed some sort of Asian options package because now when I go to Tools --> Options --> I can see "Asian Typography" and "Japanese Find" tabs - which I never had before. PROBLEM/QUESTION: Even since I downloaded that Word attachment, I have gotten grey lines that intersect at right angles in the corners of my new Word documents. Basically it looks sort of like an "L" in the upper right hand corner, a reverse L in the upper left corner, upsidedown L in the lower right corner, and reverse upside down L in the lower left corner (if that makes sense). The intersection/point of each "L" is 1 inch in from each of the closest two sides of the paper. I wish I had an easier way to explain it. : ) I have searched through all the preferences I could think of and found no way to make these annoying markers disappear. Your task, should you accept it, is to eliminate these "L"s from my Word screen! Thanks. |

Those marks appear because you're in "Print Layout". Choose View->Normal and those marks should go away. secret901-ga |

try the following start > All Programs > Microsoft Office Tools > Microsoft Office (Your Version) Langauge Settings > disable any East Asian languages. |
