Looking for either a manufactuer or compounding instructions for
TOPICAL British Anti-Lewisite (CAS #59-52-9) also called Dimercaprol.
Would also accept a copy of the original patent. The CDC website
lists this as an antidote to Lewisite (which may be useful in
terrorism protection planning.) Not interested in the injectable
version unless instructions to convert to a topical product is
documented.

British-anti-lewisite is not clinically recommended for topic
application to persons exposed to lewisite. Here is a quote from the
Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry:

http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/MHMI/mmg163.html
"British Anti-Lewisite (BAL) can be given by intramuscular injection
as an antidote for systemic effects but has no effect on the local
lesions of the skin, eyes, or airways. Treatment consists primarily of
supportive care."
