Hey, Steph This is actually a TOP SECRET project but because I know that you are absolutely trustworthy I will share my plans with you. My intention is to exploit a new opportunity for lie detection: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11/30/brain_scans_show_truth/ Just imagine the potential ... When a woman asks her fellow, 'Do you really love me ...?' There will be NO ESCAPE provided that she has armed herself with the ProboKit (TM)! Bryan 35 (Well as you always insist on giving your age, I feel I should reciprocate.) |

Yeah - that looks like it is susceptible to a generalized version of Goodhart's Law - which is : Any observed (Economic) relationship holds true until it is used as a basis for policy, and then it breaks down A bit of training on a lie detector or an MRI scanner, and I'll bet they don't work |

Roger ... Tut! Multiple Tut! The Question is NOT 'Does it work?' BUT 'Will it sell?' |
