Lonesomedove735,

Yes, according to the FDA Electronic Orange Book, it appears that
after the patent expired on the prescription drug Desyrel, all
subsequent products have been named Trazodone.

When did the patent expire?

Dear Lonesomedove735,

I already tried to answer your other question regarding the patent
expiration date for Desyrel posted on January 20th. Unfortunately I
did not find the date.

Here is the direct link to this question.
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=435977

Other researchers have also tried to anser that question without any luck.

It expires on February 19th so perhaps another researcher might find
the answer for you.

The answer was great. The only thing lacking was the patent
expiration date, which I hope to get through the "clarification"
process. Thank you for your help.
