Forgetting Anna, are there any well documented examples of some dotty
old man or woman who has deluded him/her-self into thinking that
he/she was somebody famous?

I'm not thinking of apparently fraudulent claimants e.g. Tichborne.

Spontaneously, I'm thinking of Joshua A. Norton, the "Emperor of
America". But that is, of course, not exactly the same as with Anna
Anderson.

Many thanks, Scriptor, a PERFECT EXAMPLE!

And I'd never even heard of him before.
