According to an article published March 8, 2004 at The American
Medical News Web site of the AMA, the top 10 killers are:

Heart disease
Cancer
Cerebrovascular diseases
Chronic lower respiratory disease
Unintentional injuries
Diabetes
Influenza and pneumonia
Alzheimer's disease
Kidney disease
Septicemia

Perfect!  The WISQARS link was particularly useful, it allowed me to
narrow down the statistics based on my own risk.  Now it's time to
figure out how to prevent each of these...

The question is, does it get you at 50 or at 90?  40 years seems like
a long time to enjoy life!
