I want to take a basic Economics course (macro) at a college in downtown Chicago (either a 2- or 4-year university is fine). Also, I am not enrolled in a degree program, so I need information on classes (preferably evening classes) that people may take a la carte--some schools refer to this as continuing education or student-at-large programs. Thanks. |

Although not in Chicago, COD (College of DuPage) offers a Macro and Micro Econ classes. Classes are available in remote campuses, in the evening and online. You can take just the one class and don't have to have a plan or enrolled in any other classes. Hope this helps... |

The University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business has produced a large number of Nobel Prize winners in Economics in the past 20 years. It also has an excellent downtown facility and a large number of students start part-time in the program (including me -- way back last century): http://gsb.uchicago.edu/parttime/index.aspx Best regards, Omnivorous-GA |

Loyola University has a downtown campus (Water Tower), and most of their Econ courses are taught at that campus. They frequently have night classes their, as well. |
