My objective: I have two writing samples of moderate length, each by
an unknown writer. I suspect the two writers are the same person
though I do not know. I am hoping to find software that will compare
the two blocks of text and return some metric that reflects the
similarity of writing styles.
My needs are not terribly sophisticated, so even basic software will
work for me. I realize that I will not get a particularly
sophisticated answer, but that's OK. I just want some algorithmically
generated indication of similarity.
The software should run under Windows XP and, ideally, will be
available at no cost. The easier the use the better, though given my
other criteria, I'm not going to be too choosy.
