Hello:
My windows 2000 server pops up every message that is sent through by
users connected to the  the network. I have 50 xp machines connected
to the server.It is really annoying and I have to close the message
one by one. Is there anyway to prevent this message poping up

Hi Dan,

Since I do not have Windows 2000 Server, I cannot be certain this will
solve your problem. However, please try the following and let me know
if it works:

Click Start->Programs->Administrative Tools->Services 
Scroll down and highlight "Messenger" 
Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties. 
Click the STOP button. 
Select Disable in the Startup Type scroll bar 
Click OK
