On the Start Menu, find the folder with shortcuts for
Microsoft Office. Among them should be one for Setup.
Click on that and have your installation CD handy.
When the Setup menu shows up, one of the options is
for Add/Remove Components. Click on that and highlight
the Office Tools component, without clicking in the
checkbox. Then click to the right where it says
'Change Option(s)'. Put a check in the box for the
Microsoft Office Shortcut Toolbar and proceed with
the installation.

If I right click on the start button and select open or explore, I
can't find the folder with shortcuts. Am I in the right folder?

You left-click on the Start button to open the tree of folders
containing the shortcuts to different programs. Just drag your
mouse up through the tree. It should be in Start -> Programs ->
Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Setup.

I'm sorry but I can't find the files you told me to click on. Help?
Please be more specific. I'm not that computer savy. Thanks.

Here's an image of a Windows 2000 Start menu:
http://www.energystar.gov/ia/products/power_mgt/images/2000_1.gif
That image shows that the Start button has been clicked on,
and the user has moved the cursor up to Settings, and then
over to Control Panel.
You want to keep moving the cursor to where it says Programs,
above Settings and Documents. Somewhere in the tree of folders
appearing under Programs should be a folder for Microsoft Office.
One of the shortcuts in the Microsoft Office folder should be
labelled Microsoft Office Setup.
Click on that and have your installation CD handy.
When the Setup menu shows up, one of the options is
for Add/Remove Components. Click on that and highlight
the Office Tools component, without clicking in the
checkbox. Then click to the right where it says
'Change Option(s)'. Put a check in the box for the
Microsoft Office Shortcut Toolbar and proceed with
the installation.

If you can't find the shortcut I'm referring to, just
put the MS Office Installation CD in your CD-ROM, and
run setup from there, following the directions I gave
you.
