Hi, We have developed an in-house CMS and are having trouble with a site running the software. Search engines do not seem to be able to crawl & index the pages. We would like to get some tips as to why this could be the case. The technology we used is Microsoft .NET & SQL db. The URL of the site is http://www.myescapeonline.com.au The content being displayed on the website is coming from the database. So when search engines crawl the website, will they consider dynamic content? What could we do to ensure this? Thanks!! |

Hi, getting search engines to index dynamic pages is a challenge. Although technically it can be done it is very difficult. I had the same design problem with a product called ADDBLOX (www.addblox.com), here in the UK. It basically allows you to generate your websites, and the content is stored in a db. There are many issues to consider, but the big problems comes when you have 1500 users concurrently access a single page. The DB starts dying. Take a look at ADDBLOX and create a test site. You need to ensure that the meta data is entered for each page, their is a wizard that does this for u. |
