Hi I've recently installed a procharger on my 06 mustang GT and custom tunned it using 'diablosport predator', the problem is that I have detonations on third gear at high revolutions. I need to know what is causing these detonations, the optimum settings and how to solve this problem. On the manual there is nothing that tells me what the correct setting for the 'spark advance' is, wether I should advance or retard the spark timing. Generally what I want is the optimum settings for my hometowns altitude wich is Guadalajara Mexico. The supercharger was bought in phoenix AZ. and was installed by myself in Guadalajara. Facts: Location: Guadalajara using 91 octane gas supercharger brand: p1sc1 procharger 06 mustang GT manual transmission. diablosport predator |

I'd purchase an air/fuel meter from any online store and intsall it per the instructions. That will let you know if you have a lean condition which will give you many of the symptons you're talking about. The engine ECU should retard your timing enough to keep from it being the ignition. Things to consider; innercooler or aftercooler or even a methenol/water injection kit that can be found by doing a Google search. I am about to install a M90 Eaton on my 3.8 Ford and already purchased the gauge. It will tell you so much about your engine that it's worth the money! |
