Dear Gotoblack, Yes, there is such a site, called "Pet Travel" : Pet Travel <http://www.pettravel.com/> You can search for each country here: Pet Travel - Pet Immigration & Quarantine Information <http://www.pettravel.com/passportnew.cfm> However, I recommend that you'd contact the custom authorities in the countries you're about to visit, to know for sure (they have the details on the site). In addition, it might be different if you have to fly with your buddy, or if you take a yacht and sail around the world - you might be able to stay with the dog on board, while porting somewhere, even if they do have quarentine policies. Here are several more sites that might help, though Pet Travel is exactly what you're looking for: ExpatExchange - Pets Abroad <http://www.expatexchange.com/libg.cfm?articleid=1631> Galaxy Pet <http://galaxypet.cyanne.com/intro.html> Pet Planet - Taking your dog abroad <http://www.petplanet.co.uk/petplanet/travel/takingyourdogabroad.htm> Siri Lise Doub, "Taking Your Pet Abroad", <http://www.transitionsabroad.com/publications/magazine/9907/taking_your_pet_abroad.shtml> Tips for taking your pet abroad <http://www.saga.co.uk/finance/pet/leaflet_pets_abroad.htm> I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any clarification on this answer before you rate it. My search terms: pet abroad pet immigration |

Politicalguru has provided excellent information for you to use. I'm just going to add my two cents. South America isn't a country. Almost every country you have listed requires a recent (within a few days) health examination and certification of health. You are gonna be spending a bit of time and money at the local veterinarian preparing for the next destination. Some of the countries listed have differing requirements depending on where you are arriving from. Japan, for instance, has a streamlined import protocol from New Zealand but requires quarantine up to 180 days from, say, Ghana. Either way, you must submit import requests at least 40 days in advance. You should get your dog microchipped NOW. You are contemplating a very complicated procedure just to bring your dog with you (yes, yes, I know [s]he's a part of the family; when your dog pays its own way, it can truly be a part of the family... and when it can pay for everyone's trip, you know you've hit the Big Time). If you fail to adhere to required laws, you may find yourself without your dog, paying for six months of quarantine, and then having to transport your pet back to the US unaccompanied. That can cost as much as a first class ticket from some places! |

Leave Poochie in a kennel. In some of the places you listed, Fido would be the main course. |

I just got off the phone with an old friend who has done two world cruises on his sailboat. He reports that Australia and New Zealand are completely out and that some (mostly island) countries have an easy solution to prevent rabies from being imported-- they shoot any incoming dogs and cats. |

Australia is tough on animal imports. We're one of the few countries free of rabies. The time spent at sea (between ports) can count as quarantine. But, you are barking up the wrong researchers, by asking this question in this place. Google researchers are an amazing crew, but the only, only, sure way to get your answer to this question is to write to the quarantine people in each country. Being seen to be trying to do the right thing by writing will help you. |
