I am looking for a list (resources would be nice but not necessary if
the argument is strong enough) of benefits that could or are arising
from climate change.  I need a list of enough topics to discuss for
about half an hour.  I've come up with some topics on my own but i'm
short about 10 minutes right now and they're pretty weak arguments.

I am not looking for arguments for or against climate change, the
damages caused by climate change, or the benefits of mitigation.

benefits, plain and simple [ie. higher crops yields in certain areas
(even though, yes i know, it would be lower in other areas...)]

vague list of what i have (all for a global scale):

- greenhouse effect
- CO2 Fertilization Effect/Reduced CO2 (not very clear)
- adaptation (Natural Cycle of Climate Change)
- Economic opportunities (not sure what the new technologies or
infrastructures would be but i get that they would exist), increased
exports, more competitiveness, increased employment
- speciation
- agricultural benefits (again, it's a weak point right now)

i need more details on:
- Possible spread of tropical and subtropical horticulture
- Gains for the wine industry (increase in crop yields)
- Increased comfort indices and thus tourism
- Increased water for hydroelectric power generation
- Longer and warmer growing seasons
- Warmer winters; more shipping (easier to navigate through ice-covered waters)

See the New York Times article October 10, 2005 "As Polar Ice Turns to
Water, Dreams of Treasure Abound".  New shipping lanes and access to
natural resources (fossil fuels), worth at least $100 billion.

How about the more pleasant living conditions, less snow and ice to
shovel, more tropical paradises. Benefits to travel industry. ??
Possible resurgance of animal and plant life.....
