Howdy jaymorgan-ga,

Although you might be able to get an high defintion (HD) signal to your
Sony KV-36FV15, it will not provide a HD picture.

Home Theater Forum posting.
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/printthread.php?threadid=26710

"I do not have an HD-Ready set. I have a Sony KV36FV15."

Agoraquest.com "The only place for the Sony Enthusiast" message posting.
http://www.agoraquest.com/viewtopic.php?topic=8482&forum=51/

"Your FV15 is not a digital set, and will not receive or display a 720p
signal. It will not receive or display 480p or 1080i either. It's 480
interlace only.

So, with the HD box, you're only going to use its 480i standard definition
output on your TV, even with component cables."

The above indicate the Sony KV-36FV15 is not HD capable in any manner.

If you need any clarfication, please feel free to ask.

Search strategy:

Google search on: "KV-36FV15" OR KV36FV15 HD OR HDTV
