I want to find the least expensive way for me to call the US and the US to call me while I live in Japan. I am a military contract worker. I am planning to get a cell phone. |

Have you thought about Skype? www.skype.com You can make and receive calls even if you or the party that you are calling doesn't have a computer. Perhaps the Gizmo Project (google it). |

Vonage or AT&T CallVantage, service provider will recognize MAC address of the router that you will be taking along with you, not the region where you are in. You can call anywhere in the US free, or anyone in US can call you. Note that there is a monthly rate. I am not sure if the call is unlimited. I use Lingo in Taiwan. |
