I know that technology exists to barcode a segment of audio or video
and then listen to that segment on a "bar-coded CD" player through a
barcode reader that acts like a remote. For example: In a CD "Twinkle
Twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are" one can barcode
"Twinkle Twinkle little star", print that code and scan that code with
barcode reader to play only and only the line "Twinkle Twinkle little star".
I have seen Pioneer's software designed for DVD, called "DVD Bar 'n'
Coder" software (US$100) that can play segments of bar-coded DVD. See:

Such DVD can be played on Pioneer's DVD-V7400 (US$800)
A company in Hong Kong offers to barcode the audio segments @ 10 US
cents per label that can play related audio segments (eg, a line, a
word or a paragraph) on their own CD players (US$350). You may see CD
player model LS-200W on all-Chinese language site

Question:
Are there products (other than the two mentioned) that can author a CD
or DVD by linking an audio or video segment with a specific part (eg,
a line, a paragraph) of a book through a barcode (or any other means
for that matter)? |
