Hi! Thanks for the question. The official list comes from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in the UK. In answering this question, we will turn it around and post here the nations who have extradition treaties with the UK. So a nation not in the list does not have an extraction treaty with the United Kingdom. Here is the list of countries wherein the UK has bilateral extradition treaties. Albania Argentina Austria Belgium Bolivia Bosnia & Herzegovina Brazil Chile China (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region only) Colombia Croatia Cuba Czechoslovakia Denmark Ecuador El Salvador Finland France Germany Greece Guatemala Haiti Hungary Iceland India Iraq Israel Italy Liberia Luxembourg Mexico Monaco Netherlands Nicaragua Norway Panama Paraguay Peru Poland Portugal Romania San Marino Thailand Spain South Africa (Orange Free State only) Sweden Switzerland Tonga USA Uruguay Yugoslavia FR Source: http://www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMarket/Xcelerate/ShowPage&c=Page&cid=1044360289117 Please take note that the website does not guarantee that all agreements are still enforced at this specific time so maybe if you have a question, it would be good to go directly to them for your inquiries. Good answer. I would only add that extradition treaties are pretty complex, for example, what is considered a crime in one country may not be a crime in another so just because a treaty exists and a person is suspected of a crime in one country doesn't mean another country will extradite them even if there is a treaty. |
