Hi,
I am a Canadian citizen who recently moved back from the U.S. While
there I acquired a large amount of credit card debt.

Now living in Canada, I am finding the American credit card debt overwhelming.

If I cannot pay this American debt how will it affect me?

For example:

- Will it affect my credit rating in Canada?

- What are the recourses of those credit card companies in the U.S. to
recover their money? Can they sue me? Do American collection agencies
have access to Canadians living in Canada, other than through
correspondence?
