I am aware of high numbers of male prostitutes in Thailand, serving
both women and man, Thai and foreigner. I am interested to learn what
services or outreach work is being done for these young men,
especially in Bangkok, but in Pattaya or elsewhere as well.
Specifically, I am wondering if there are any Christian organizations
working with this population, but also any NGO programs or groups
focused on them as well, which can include HIV/AIDS awareness but even
moreso economic alternatives, counseling, etc. Finally, if you can't
find anyone working with this group I would at least love to be
pointed in the direction of any research that has been done assessing
their needs, etc.
I am interested in this because I would like to go and work with this
population and as of yet have found very few outreach efforts focused
on them. Can you help me? |
