I WANT TO CLEAR A PATH WITH A CORDLESS RECIPRCTNG/CHAIN SAW, WHILE CARRYING A 20 POUND PACK SO I CAN REACH OVERGROWN FISHING HOLES. I'll PROBABLY BE CUTTING SOME 2-4 IN. LUMBER IN A FEW PLACES. I SAW THIS MAKITA (CHAIN SAW) THAT WAS EXPENSIVE AND I WAS LEANING TOWARD A RECIPROCATING SAW. WEIGHT IS A FACTOR HERE AS WELL AS MAKING A SERIOUS PATH W/O JAMS AND BLADE CHANGES. I FIGURE IM MISSING THE SIMPLE SOLUTION HERE, BUT I NEED TO BE DISCREET IN MY APPROACH TO THESE PLACES. A BOW SAW WOULD KILL ME DEAD. ANY SUGGS ARE APPRECIATED. |

Hi, mrk362-ga: How long a trail do you plan to clear, in rough terms? regards, mathtalk-ga |

Im lookin at a half mile of just lite/med. stuff around this pit and tryin to make 3 or 4 openings thru 10 to 15 yards of thick stuff. I think I mite just do this in one trip and come back to fish it later. This pit has monster bass that havent seen a lure in more than a year. The sound of a 2stroke is out. Ill make two trips if I need to. |
