Question ID: 437022
In the US, what is the ratio (percentage) of killings by gun (relative to
violence/murder), vs killings by other means "combined" (e.g.
beatings/stabbings/etc.)? For example: by firearms 50%; by other than guns 50%

Please provide viable resource info with your answer so I can convince
my friends of my standing on this issue. Thanks!

Hello Emptynest,

Approximately 70% of killings are by firearms and 30% are by other weapons.

Timely answer; thanks! Tip: only one of 3 links indicated the
statistics shown were for the entire US; the other two did not specify
so in looking at them, it wasn't discernable whether it was talking
about the US, or a smaller area, e.g. one state.
