Dear leander1, Here is the translation: The dissertation project analyzes this transformation process on the basis of school rituals which mark radical breaks in a time of institutional change. Another data source are group discussions that open the affected participants' views at the phase of transition. The discussion about school culture provides the theoretical background. Methodically, qualitative techniques are used, in particular ethnographic and hermeneutic-reconstructive techniques. The project has two objects: First, to present an analysis of "transition culture"; second, to contribute to the improvement of the affected individuals' practise by educating them about the specific characteristics of school culture.
