I need some documentation showing the connection between Seltzer or Soda Water and Jews, from a historical perspective. How did it develop and why? |

...the word "seltzer" comes from Niederselters, Germany, whose natural pools of carbonated water were said to ease digestion. When Eastern European immigrants settled in this country in the 1890s, they continued their usual practice of drinking seltzer water. The tradition then passed through the family line. http://www.jewishjournal.com/old/seltzer.3.10.0.htm |
