System32 folder opens twice on xp login. How can I stop this from happening.

I also get two illegible errors when logging in to the PC. They
happen right before the system 32 folder opens.

How can I get rid of these errors.

Hi renomsu,

Here you go -

System32 Folder Opens When Logging on to Windows XP:

System32 Folder Opens When Logging On:
If the System32 folder shows on the desktop, there may be an invalid
entry in the Registry
   1. Start Regedit
   2. Go to both:
   3. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
   4. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
   5. Double check that the values do not have incorrect, incomplete,
or blank entries

Line 260: System32 Folder Opens Upon Boot:

I'll wait to make sure that solves all of your problems before I post
it as an answer. Will look forward to your update.

Good luck,

You fix the problems that you are having with the errors do the following.

Go to Start.
Then to Run.
Type "msconfig" (Without the "")
Then choose the Startup Tab.
Uncheck anything you dont use. (You usually only need things like
Antivirus stuff running.)
When you finish, hit apply.

Then go to www.download.com and get Adaware SE. Download it. Its free.
Install it and run it.
Delete anything if finds.
Reboot and you will be smooth sailing.
