gunky...

You can have visitors to your site download the Chikka
Messenger from this site:
http://www.chikka.com/messenger.html

Or they can use the java version after installing the
applet from this page:
http://www.chikka.com/java.html

If this satisfies your interests, post a Clarification
so I can post a formal answer.

yahoo and aol have this already you just insert their code into the
site. it's a hyperlink to a messenger name. then just set up a mobile
device on your messenger.

Hope this helps

If you have Cingular, you can have your customer's forwarded to the
Cingular.com website and they have a way of sending instant messages
to a cell phone.

Alternatively you can download chikka java client onto your server and
have a web page that communicates with the client.

Yup. Chikka has that. You can also try out their new version at
http://www.chikka.com/v4.html. They used to have an HTML client
version also where you log in via a website and send instant messages
to mobile phones via SMS. A java applet then lauches that refreshes so
you know you have received a message. Very easy to use.

Most cellular services offer you an email address e.g: yourcellnumber@service.com.

if your service provider has this feature you could use an online form
to send you the text in the form of an email.

alternatevly: there are ways to script your way into autometically
loginging into your service providers login and send the text. you
could hire a programmer to do that, in case need help.

The easiest way to do this would be to create a form on your website
that emails the users reply to you. Then - when programming the
address for the email - simply either place the email address to your
PDA or create a forwarded email address (like with GMail) to have it
forwarded.
