rmc25-ga,
Thanks for getting back to me on this...I'm glad that these particular
celebrities and semi-celebrities meet your needs.
I've included excerpts below, mostly from newspaper and magazine
articles, and mostly from sources that come from off-line databases,
so they don't have a direct web link. Where I could, I also included
a link to a photo of the relevant celeb, so you can come to your own
conclusion about how strong (or not!) the resemblance might be.
I trust this fully meets your needs. But before rating this answer,
please let me know if there's any additional information you would
like. Just post a Request for Clarification, and I'll be happy to
assist you further.
All the best for the holiday season and the new year....

When the inappropriate is actually just the reverse
Recently, I discovered a variant on the built-in peculiarity of the
reader-writer encounter when I met the novelist Don DeLillo. Let's
call it "appropriate inappropriateness." The problem was his glasses.
I'd heard he sometimes wore corrective lenses, but that in no way
prepared me for the sight of these oversized black frames. The way
they altered his appearance amazed me. The glasses, taken in
conjunction with his cleft chin, wavy silvery hair, and general
Italianate good looks, transformed the spooky-eyed conspiracy theorist
of a dozen dustjacket photos into . . . well, before the publicist had
finished introducing us, I had to say it: "You know, with those things
on you look like Dean Martin." Granted, this is a rather inappropriate
thing to say to a great American novelist - trust me on this: Wearing
those Swifty Lazar specials, the guy looked just like Dino, circa 1975
- but such a comment, I would argue, was appropriately inappropriate.
