I have an old computer, where i have set up many, many words in Auto correct options. Now that I bought a new computer, is there a "file" that I can copy / export to my new computer so the Microsoft Word can have all the words i have set up previously in the Auto Correct Options? |

Hello Lujoshua, I have located three sites that explain how to back up your Auto Correct file and transfer it to your new PC. Here is a guide: http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_zdpcm/is_200304/ai_ziff39586 These directions state they are for Word 97, but I just tried it in Word XP and it works! http://support.microsoft.com/kb/186237 There are 3 methods on this site. http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/ExportAutocorrect.htm I'm sure you will find these methods successful. Follow all the steps in order! Please request an Answer Clarification, and allow me to respond, before you rate this answer.
