you will notice that the site is almost empty of ads. this is why i am
offering free ads to develop the site. after some time i hope to
charge for ads. please could you also advise the best price so as to
be consistent with the industry?

(1) Have you done any market research on running this site for
commercial purposes? I am asking because you might be competing with
two giants: Craigslist on the one hand, and Google Base on the other.
Listing on Craigslist is free - why would someone pay to be listed at
your site?

(2) When people say "content" to you, they don't just mean the ads. How about: 
- Guides on how to write an effective classified
- Guides on buying a house, a car, taking a morgage, etc.

hi. thnx for the good advice. i feel i need to clarify my position. i
am one of many enterprises seeking to do business on the internet and
as such i am in competition with others. however, i feel that my
product is uniquely presented and competitively priced (free at
present). i have spent money in developing and marketing the site and
its current page rank with alexa is 371,160. as a business i am
interested in making a profit or atleast meeting costs. those who
offer a free service also have to meet their expenses somehow but i
feel it is only fair and honest to charge a reasonable amount for a
quality service at the point of delivery so as to keep the cost to a
minimum. i hope to develop the site further in time adding many novel
and worthwhile features. competition is a healthy aspect of a market
economy but rational self-interest creates the possibility of
cooperation. i am willing to consider sharing the business with other
parties so as to produce a viable market presence. although i have a
comfortable life, i am one of many who have a dream of saving the
world. for this i need money. i intend to use the money i earn from
this and other enterprises for medical research and other charitable
causes.
