I have thought of a product that I would like to introduce into the
market, but not sure where to start. I would need to purchase milk
wholesale from a dairy farm, and then repackage in a completely
different container with a different name. This is kind of like where
hypothetically Nestle is purchasing milk from a dairy farm to
repackage with Nestles designed bottle/carton/container and labeling.
Could a dairy farm provide this turn key solution or could I purchase
the milk wholesale from a farm, and then have it packaged through
another facility. I don't want to start my own farm and packaging
facility since the investment would be huge for a product that I don't
know if the market will like. I would also want to prevent the farm
from trying to copy my product if it does work. Can you actually
patent a product like this, or is milk repackaged differently to
general to patent. A generous tip will be given for a
satisfactory and thorough answer.
