Hello there,

I'm simply looking for US manufacturers of corrugated boxes, however,
the box size that I need is either 9.5" x 9.5" x 42" OR 9.25" x 9.25"
x 42" (TELECOPIC BOX THAT FITS THESE PARAMETERS ALSO WORKS).

Since I'm not buying very large quantities, I needed manufacturers
that already have one of these 2 sizes in stock (rather than going
through "custom made" places - and avoid paying extra fees - unless
there are no extra fees or a very large minimum purchase requirement
for custom made boxes).

Thanks,

LS

Since this is a second posting, I assume you're not having any luck.
If you wouldn't mind, I have a few questions for clarification:

1) Are you absolutely sure you can't fudge on the dimensions even a
little bit? (I know you said there were shipping restrictions).
2) What quantity did you have in mind and what price range is acceptable?
3) Are the items being shipped fragile?

Thanks. Perhaps we can find a solution this time.

   Have a good day.

Isn't Canada on the metric system? I have had very good results
finding companies in Canada on the Internet and buying from them. Why
don't you convert your inches to metric and try searching for Canadian
Suppliers that meet the Metric size you are looking for.
Just an idaw. If it works please let us know...

Hello there... thanks for your prompt attention.

1. Yes, unfortunately I can't get away with those dimensions
2. I'm interested in purchasing around 25 of these boxes... I think up
to $2.50 per box would be reasonable (since they normally cost way
less)
3. The items being shipped aren't really fragile

...

That's a great idea about Canada... that would work fine. Please let
me know if you do find something in Canada as well (I suppose shipping
from there to here isn't outrageous, right?).

Thanks,

LS

How about 9x9x30 or 22x10x9 and fitting two boxes together? Available at uline.com.

Or how about just wrapping the items in corrugated paper sheets and taping closed?

Not great thoughts but it's all I got.

Have a good day.

Hi there... the first idea of joining two boxes together (in essence,
making it a "telescopic box") is a good idea... however, one box would
have to be 9.25" x 9.25" x XYZ and the other 9.5" x 9.5" x XYZ.

If you find something like that, it should work out (since we're
having a hard time finding what we're looking for).

The second thought wouldn't work for me... although the stuff is not
super-fragile, it still needs some more protection..

Thanks,

LS

Hi there... I think it would be hard to find a round box this big...
but if it is 42" tall and 38" round, it should work.

Life is such a coincidence. I have spent the last few days doing
nothing but researching box manufacturers in France, yike my head
hurts. We are going to have to get ours custom made but will be
ordering 1,500.

Back to your issue - This is the closest I believe you are going to
come to what you are looking for. And if it isn't exact then suggest
you use packing material, stick some styrofoam on the bottom perhaps.
I found in Centimeters 25 x 25 x 120
The conversion of that to inches is 9.84" x 9.84" x 47.24"

On this website -
http://www.raja.fr/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-2&storeId=10051&catalogId=10051&productId=378750

Product number is BL25 for 15 of them it is 2.30 Euros a piece.

Note you can read the site in English as well by clicking on the
British flag. I never would have actually done this search for you, it
is just that after I did my own search I knew the sites. it also says
they have phne support in the UK 24/7, which is good then you can at
least speak English.

This box is almost the same size as the European box I just posted above
This one is
10" x 10" x 48"
The one form Europe was
9.84" x 9.84" x 47.24

Or suggest you get a telescopic one and just use one of the 2 telescopic boxes
Here they say that the 10" x 10" box telescopes from 48" to 90" Leads
me to believe that one box in the telescope is 48" and the other one
is 42", jsut the height you are looking for.
http://www.uline.com/ProductDetail.asp?model=S-4919

Heck contact this company and see if they will jsut cut the telescopic
ones down to size for you on height and leave it at the 10" x 10"

Why are you so precise on these exact sizes anyway? Are you taking
several of them and putting them inside another box or something?
Seems to me that 10" vs 9.25 or 9.5" is not all that far off. If you
take the telescopic you can use the part you are not going to use and
use the cardboard to fill in on the inside to reduce the 10" down.
With all the packaging materials available, various sizes of styrofoam
etc, I jsut wonder why you are needing to be so exact-exact.

Yes... it does need to be those exact dimensions. They are for
international shipping and that's the largest allowed size for the
country I'm shipping it.

Thanks,

LS

Ps.: Buying it from overseas would be EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE to have it
shipped over here...

By any chance are you shipping through the US Post Office?
If so are you positive that you have calculated the length + the Girth
Correctly? I hope I am not offending you with my question.
What country are you shipping to?

For example this box I found, 42" Long x 11" high x 10" wide
using the USPS instructions here for a large box
http://ircalc.usps.gov/mailpiecedimensions.asp#LargePackage
 The girth would be 42" + length of 42" = 84" Length + Girth
The USPS indicates that the maximum outgoing allowed by the USPS = 130"

Understanding that each country receving the package also has their
own dimensions allowable - United Arab Emirates for example allows a
maximum length of 42" and a maximum Length + Girth of 79" so the above
box will not be suitable.

What country are you mailing to, and are you going through the US Postal Service?

I did find a box 42" x 11" x 6" that would make it 76" Length + Girth
and would make it into my example of, the United Arab Emirates. The
cost on the 42" x 11" x 6" box is just over $2 a box in bundles of 15.
Don't know if this would be of interest to you, just let me know.

Hi there... this is really good research! Yes, I'm shipping it via
USPS... to Brazil, and the maximum allowed size is 80" (girth + height
- with a max. height of 42" - technically 79", but they said I'm fine
going 1 inch above as long it's not higher than 42").

And it's funny how I need every inch of its height and sides for my
shippments... (well, at least 9.25" x 9.25" x 42" to fit my stuff).

Thanks again... I'm still hopeful!

Well you are an optimist after all :)
I have done more research on this than you can believe.
Like I said I did my own research on getting custom boxes made for our olive oil.
Actually I just placed the order today.
You will find that the minimum order is going to be around 500 boxes
and it doesn't appear to me that you are needing that many. It doesn't
amteer Europe or USA, there is still set up tim etc. In a custom order
and you jsut can't get it on the cheap.

Print out this comment and show it to the powers that be, you aint
gonna find your exact box, as a standard box you can get for a Dollar
or Two a Box. I have spent consideralble time on this, and it ain't
gonna happen.

Either bit the bullet and order custom boxes, OR break up your
shipment into 2 boxes. Think outside the Box!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :)

Use one box for the length
and a second box for the width.

The most troublesome is the length.

The longest piece, just by itself, how wide do you really need it.
Actually it would help if you would just say what it is that you are shipping!
What is it Is it in one piece, several pieces etc.?

There is no perfect box for you, I promise you I have done the
research. Suggest go to plan B
Tell us exactly what you are shipping, the longest piece the minimum
width for the longest piece (ship a second box for the wider pieces).

I know you are hopefull, but I have to say as a stock item the exact
box does not exist for you. :(

Hello there... once again, I appreciate your efforts. Unfortunatelly,
there's really no compromise on the dimensions...

THEREFORE, I'll change my search... I now would like to find a place
that is willing to make 100 "custom sized" that will cost me (product
+ shipping if outside NJ) less than $3.00 per piece. Let's see what
happens...

Thanks again,

LS

Hopefully others will take you up on your search. I will decline,
since I just did this exact search in France finding box manufacturerd
for our custom size box. I know how much work it is, but perhaps
someone with industry knowledge will step up and help you out. Best of
Luck.
