I am a third party tracer trying to get HUD to return distributive
shares of insurance premiums to their rightfull owners. Part of the
process is to get the refundee (my client) to fill out the form known
as HUD2750-B and get it back to HUD so as to verify the request to
refund. My question is "Can I get the form HUD2750-B as a third party
tracer or can only the principle (my client-the actual
refundee)receive said document?" If I had a supply of these forms it
would speed up the process of refundees getting their refund.

Hello tiger9-ga,

Generally, the process of insurance refunds is initiated by the
mortgage company, who notifies HUD about the termination of insurance
on a loan. Not every refundee has to fill out a form...sometimes the
refund is pretty much automatic.

If the form IS needed, HUD then sends it out...I don't think there is
a step in the process for submitting an unsolicited form, but perhaps
I'm misunderstanding things, since this is not my area of expertise.

It's clear, though, that the form is not made readily available.
However, I can certainly do the following:

--provide you the correct and current number of the form, which
differs from what you posted in your question

--provide a link to a detailed site at HUD that explains the refund process

--provide the name and contact information for the appropriate person
at HUD to contact with any follow up questions.

Would that meet your needs?

Hi tiger9,

You only need one such form, to make copies. Most HUD forms are
available for download on the Internet here:

HUDCLIPS
http://www.hudclips.org/sub_nonhud/html/forms.htm

The CORRECT Form Number: HUD-27050-B

This can be verified by entering REFUND in the search function at the link above.

When following links to your form, this information comes up:

Application for Premium Refund or Distributive Share Program
http://www.hudclips.org/sub_nonhud/cgi/nph-brs.cgi?d=FRMS&S1=refund&op1=AND&l=100&SECT1=TXTHL&SECT5=FRMS&p=1&r=2&u=../html/forms.htm&f=G
Call 1-800-697-6967 to order.

They are open from 8:30am to 8:30pm EST, Monday through Friday.

I certainly see no reason why they will not send you one, after all,
their own web page says third party tracers do in fact exist and that
your profession is a legal endevour.

If that does not work, simply ask your next client to copy the form
(both sides) for you before filling it out, in order to expedite
future processing.

If I can be of further assistance in regards to the HUD form, please
don't hesitate to ask via the "Request For Clarification" feature...

~~Cynthia
