Hi rpcvrn,

The US taxpayers are paying for the war through Supplemental Appropriations.

C-SPAN Congressional Glossary
http://www.c-span.org/guide/congress/glossary/supplapp.htm
..."A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS bill provides funds in addition to
the regular appropriations level. Supplementals often arise when an
emergency, e.g. disaster relief, requires immediate funding..."

So far, the Iraq War has cost each citizen of the United States $533.00

See this illustrated here:

The War in Iraq Cost (per Person)
http://www.nationalpriorities.org/costofwar/index.html
The first (changing) amount is for the entire US. Select "per person"
in the drop down menu to see if it has gone up since I posted this
answer.

Here's where the US Government gets it's money:

Federal Revenues by Source, FY2005
http://www.nationalpriorities.org/charts/FederalRevenuesbySourceFY2005.html
The following chart shows the composition of total federal revenues,
including both the federal funds and the trust funds budgets. The
largest portion of revenues comes from individual income taxes
followed closely by social insurance and retirement receipts.

Local Costs of Iraq War

Cost per state.

Here's their main page, lots of interesting reading here:

This is how the funds are being spent on the war effort:

If I can be of further assistance in regards to funding the war on
Iraq, please don't hesitate to ask via the "Request For Clarification"
feature.

Wow, skunkarific-ga ...

'For a short while, during the American Revolution, politicians
decreed that any who would not accept the fiat currency of the day
(called continentals) as payment for goods and services be treated as
enemies of the country and precluded from all trade or intercourse.'

I never realised that there had ever been a Law Against Intercourse.

I bet that the FBI soon had lots of unsolved cases.
