I have been diligently searching for several hours using different
methods, but I have not been able to find the info I need with much
success. Microtel used to make a computer for Wal-Mart and Amazon.com
that sold for under $200. It had a Via C3 800 Mhz processor, 8mb
integrated video (onboard Trident Blade), 10 gb hard drive (or 15 or
as much as 40 I have seen), Cd-Rom drive, speakers, keyboard, mouse,
and was known for the fact that it had Lindows installed on it. It
came with no monitor. It goes under names like Microtel Sysmar 710,
Microtel AM528, Microtel Am414, etc... However, it appears that these
machines have been discontinued (I am fairly certain), and they no
longer are available from Wal-MArt or Amazon.com. There is one
listing still left on Walmart.com, but it says the product is
out-of-stock, and lists the newer $200 version (which has AMD 1.4 ghz)
as being out-of-stock (probably permanently). However, I badly would
like to purchase one (for $200 or hopefully even less - like $150 or
so for the Via 800mhz version maybe). I have not been able to find
where these machines are still available. My question is: Are there
any places that have these new and unused in storage, clearance, etc..
or does wal-mart have a contactable clearinghouse, or is there any
ways I can get this Microtel $150-$200 new computer with warranty
anywhere? Because...I want to buy a couple of these for Christmas
presents. Thank you very much!

There is a $199 Microtel version available currently at the Wal-Mart site.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3380786&cat=86796&type=19&dept=3944&path=0%3A3944%3A3951%3A41937%3A86796

Model No. SYSWM4005

Its an AMD Sempron model, its not the model you specified but its a
newer and better model and still fits in that $200 budget?
