Using this data in excel is the average length of time in a normal
field in the past 30 million years less than the average length of
time in the preceding 44 million years at the 95% confidence level
comparing lengths between 0-30 ma with 30-74 ma?

if you could email this back to me showing how you did it with an
excel worksheet that would be very helpful
