Certain images won't appear or download from internet.

Certain images will not open. All I get is a space where the image should be and a small box in upper left corner woth three different colored shapes. What does this mean and what can I do to fix. Allen |

It occurs in IE or AOL. The same info downloads and completes on my other computers. Wondering if its something to do with Quicktime, Activex or something els like that?? |

Do you have Java enabled? |

Java is enabled. Its not the Java symbol but a square box with colored symbols in a box in the upper left. Sort of like the java symbol when applet loading, same place anyway. |

Perhaps a firewall is blocking them. Do you have Zonelabs / Zonealarm installed? I believe it will block 3rd party images. |

Sometimes this happens with IE when it doesn't quite manage to download the image properly - it usually returns the icon with the red cross in the corner for this, but not always. Try right-clicking on the icon and selecting "Show Picture". |
