Whether with paintings or sculptures during the gothic era, many
innovations occurred, some a new more sense or realism or
proportion/anatomy, emotion/drama and involvement with figure,
explorations into logical perspectives or space and a shift in
role/status of the artist from anonymous to genius. Based upon this
and the artists: Giotto di Bondone, Nicola/Giovanni Pisano (with their
churches: Chartres and Reims) I need commentary on each, and
innovations. Thanks so much!

To answer to question about churches and their architecture, the
movement to build new kind of structures was a result of technological
advance in building, as well as symbolical. I didn't understand the
whole question perfectly, but I add links to pages that might help
you.
