The answer of life is this. To live to the fullest and experience
every emotion possible to create life and to Die.

The answer is "TO LIVE" and then "DIE" for it is the finite time that
we live that makes is worth living. But I also agree with the other
two comments.

The Meaning of Life:

 The Talmud teaches:
Just before a baby is born,
an angel shows it everything there is to know
     and learn
     on Earth.
Then at the moment of birth,
the angel touches the infant?s upper lip,
     and the child forgets everything.
We spend the rest of our lives
     remembering
     what the angel showed us.
This is a generic guide
     to the meaning of life.
It does not describe one view
     of the meaning of life
     and recommend you adopt it.
It helps you remember
     what the angel showed you.
The angel showed you
     the meaning of life.
In case you have not remembered yet,
here is what the angel showed you.

You Will...

LAND HERE

Just exactly as if you are landing a spaceship
     from another galaxy,
     your soul enters your body
     and lands here on Earth.
Perhaps you come from out of nowhere,
     out of nothingness.
Or else you had a previous existence somewhere,
     in another realm
     or in this realm,
     and you have forgotten it.
Perhaps you land here
     of your own free choice.
Or some cosmic force
     some karma
     beyond you
     causes you to land on this planet;
     and you have no choice.
No matter.
This is Earth.
You land
     and stay for a while.

You Will...

HAVE TASKS

You come here to do certain
     specific
     things.
You may have one task
     or many.
Your tasks may be obvious to you.
     or you may need time,
     effort,
     maybe struggle
     even to clarify
     your tasks.
You may never quite even clarify your task
     until the moment
     your time in this body
     ends.
You may work on your task for years
     before you realize,
     ?This is my task.?
The tasks you came to perform
may take the whole of your life
or be done in an instant.
You may be aware
you are performing your life task
     while you do it.
You may perform your task quickly,
     hardly noticing
     anything special,
     unaware
     you are doing the task
     you came to do
     while you do it.
Your task may be so easy,
     obvious and
     natural,
you never even wonder,
     "What is my task?"
     Your unique blend
     of talents and interests
     may lead you
     to your task
     and you just do it.
Or, your task may be a constant,
     unpleasant
     struggle
     you fight
     every step of the way.
Your task may be noble and wonderful
     and gain you
     recognition,
     rewards
     and honors.
Or, it may be simple,
     totally unnoticeable
     while you do it.

You Will...

WORK TO SURVIVE

You will be born
     with a powerful
     innate desire
     to remain alive.
You will do almost anything
     to continue living.
At some point
     you may discover
     some limits,
     and allow your life
     to end.

You Will...

HAVE EXPERIENCES

Every thought you have,
Every action you take,
Every feeling you perceive
     is an experience.
Experiences are neither good nor evil.
Some experiences are short,
     some are long.
Some experiences will be fun,
     others will be excruciating.
Sometimes experiences seem interconnected,
     sometimes they seem random.
They are simply experiences.

You Will...

HAVE A BODY, EMOTIONS, THOUGHTS AND A SOUL

Your experiences will come to you through four modalities:
     physical,
     emotional,
     mental
     and spiritual.
Your body will give you physical messages of
     sensation,
     movement,
     pain and
     pleasure.
Your emotional mechanism?s feelings
     will attract you
     and repel you
     in different directions,
     sometimes conflicting.
Your mind?s thoughts
     will make logical inferences
     and judgments
     about your experience.
Your soul?s intuitions
     will guide you
     to realize
     the deepest subtleties
     of your experience
     and its meaning.

You Will...

HAVE CHALLENGES

Some of your experiences will be difficult.
They will bring you pain and suffering.
You may wish with all your heart
     that some experience
     did not come your way.
You may find joy in the challenge
     of an experience,
     even when the pain
     is most severe.
Each difficult experience
     is a challenge,
     an opportunity
     to continue

ha ha Hi Canadianhelper,

well... last night we had Bush give his speech, and as we sat to
listen thought we would have a drink every time he says 'America' or
'American'... man alive! don't know how many times we lost count! so
then I came here.... ;-)

You should have a drink every time some asks 'What is the answer to
life' or a variant...you would have been more drunk than with State of
the Union...

BTW I play watching hockey (since I am canadianhelper!) and drink
every time say a phrase like 'dumps the puck' or 'shot on net'. Plus,
don't forget....our beer is STRONGER!

I tried having a drink every time someone posted a huge question for a
tiny price on Google Answers. Soon I passed out, and now I've lost
count.

Pinkfreud...

Let us end this by quoting politicalguru from the top...

If you have lost count (or need the answer to life) ... it is 42.

Well, the answer used to be 42, but I think it's necessary to adjust
it for inflation.

I ASKED THIS QUESTION AND PAID 2.50. WELL FOR 2.50 I HAVE GOT "THE
ANSWER TO LIFE" IT IS NOT, DEATH, LIVE LIFE TO THE FULL, 42 (FROM THE
HITCHHIKERS GUIDE TO THE GALAXY WHICH REALLY IS 42 GENERATIONS FROM
ADAM TO JESUS),
SO THE "ANSWER TO LIFE" IS FROM JOE 916!
ANSWER = GOD

So to save myself 2.50 here is my next question,

Who is the living Elijah the bible foretold of a prophet
announcing the coming of the Messiah? Is he alive??

I dreamt up this question while web browsing

1 million of what? 1 million fleas? 1 million atoms of carbon?

I guess that is AN answer to life...if you believe in the Bible. Joe
said Jesus Christ was the answer...he didn't say God.

Perhaps a million plagues?

BTW...didn't see anyone say they 'hated' GB on this answer only that
they liked to drink!...Given GB's background he would probably want to
participate!

Lucky I didn't promise to shoot myself if GB talked about human-animal
hybrids! http://www.cnn.com/video/partners/clickability/index.html?url=/video/politics/2006/01/31/sotu.human.cloning.pool

...woulda lost that one!

Life has no answer, or meaning, because I have no need to question my
existence... I merely enjoy my existance without question because
having embraced the ephemeral nature of existance, I need not question
its purpose. You need to accept life and your certain death and then
you will have the freedom to know "the answer to life."

existence... I merely enjoy my existance without question because
having embraced the ephemeral nature of existance, I need not question
its purpose. You need to accept life and your certain death and then
you will have the freedom to know "the answer to life."

If life has no answer, or meaning, how do you know that there is life
or meaning? and how can you question your existence or "what is the
answer to life" when life has no answer, or meaning,
how can you question or merely "enjoy your existAnce without question"
when you don't exist?

If life has no answer or meaning then how can you "need not question
its purpose" You say Life has no answer or meaning and then state and
endorse that life has a meaning by stating that "I merely enjoy my
existance without question because having embraced the ephemeral
nature of existence, I need not question its purpose." You are then
saying that Life has meaning, and your life has an existence and a
nature of existence along with a purpose.

"Life has no answer, or meaning, because I have no need to question my
existence... I merely enjoy my existance without question because
having embraced the ephemeral nature of existence, I need not question
its purpose" How can you enjoy yourself if it has no meaning, how can
you embrace something if it has no meaning, "having embraced the
ephemeral nature of existance" how can you embrace (lifes
-meaning-existence)ephemeral nature of existence when it has no
meaning?

"You need to accept life and your certain death and then
you will have the freedom to know "the answer to life."
How do know that i have not accepted life and certain death,
How do you know that i have not the freedom to know the answer to life?
Why do you say that i will know the answer or meaning to life if you say
that life has no answer or meaning?

de_agua-ga you have a very interesting opinion
though you may be contradicting yourself.
Though i respect and understand your view which is
very relevant but your wording appears contradictory.

P.S. You spelt existenance WRONG, its
proper spelling is existence!

p.s. i COULD EVEN AGREE WITH YOU??

ronan888,

You have said that you pledge one million pounds to the person who
answers your question. If you are truly interested in having a Google
Answers Researcher prepare a thoughtful and thorough response, I
suggest that you increase the question fee, which is currently $2.50
(only 75% of which will go to the Researcher, if an answer is posted).

Questions like this one have been asked on GA many times, and it is
usually apparent that the questioner is just larking about. Setting an
extremely low dollar value on the question tends to lead Researchers
to assume that you don't really want a well-researched answer.

I assume that the one million pounds remark was hyperbole, but I
seriously urge you to place a higher bounty on this if you expect a
professional researcher to provide an admirable answer.
