Dear flinfl-ga, The Unisys weather solutions web site provides information on Atlantic hurricanes and tropical storms from 1851 until 2003. The information is broken down into years. For each year it provides charts on the track of each storm, a text based table of tracking information and the information on the strength of the hurricane (I?m not quite sure as to what you mean by ?major hurricanes?). From the easily read charts you will be able to identify hurricanes which struck the US mainland. http://weather.unisys.com/hurricane/atlantic/index.html The 2004 information appears on this page. http://weather.unisys.com/hurricane/atlantic/2004/index.html I hope this answers your question. If it does not, or the answer is unclear, then please ask for clarification of this research before rating the answer. I shall respond to the clarification request as soon as I receive it.
