Hi,
I'm looking for a Hallmark Barbie doll christmas ornaments collectors
book. The book may be by Hallmark but doesn't have to be. Ideally, it
must show all of the hallmark barbie doll christmas ornaments past and
present. I need this in a hurry so the sooner someone can find it for
me the bigger the tip.

Hello softballkid-ga:

I am contacting some collectibles sellers to see if there is such a book.

I believe what you're thinking of is Hallmark's annual "Dream Book,"
which catalogs all their special collection ornaments for that
particular year, including Barbie ornaments.

I will keep looking for a book like the one you described, but so far,
am not having any luck.

I have found a site that that displays every Hallmark Barbie Christmas
ornament, and you can purchase some "Dream Books," at this same site
that contain photos of the Barbie ornaments. If that would be a
suitable answer, let me know. In the meantime, I'll continue the hunt
for the book(s)!

If I understand correctly you are saying that these "Dream Books" are
available for purchase but that they only show one year's worth of
ornaments. If this is true then it is not what I'm looking for. If you
can continue to search for a comprehensive book I would appreciate it.

Yes, Hallmark's "Dream Book" annual documents ornaments released that
particular year.

I'm afraid I'm growing less and less confident that there is a book
that chronicles the entire Hallmark Barbie line, but I'll keep
looking.

Again, so far, I have found only a Web site (an online catalog) -- not
a book -- that displays all Barbie Hallmark ornaments. (It appears the
Hallmark collection dates back to only 1996.)

I just talked to Mattel (which, as I'm sure you know, oversees and
licenses Barbie products very meticulously!) and they aren't aware of
any book or catalog that contains *all* of the Hallmark Barbie
ornaments.

I also contacted an official Barbie Club and they also don't believe
there is a book devoted to the Barbie Hallmark ornaments line.

I have left a message with Hallmark re: this matter and will update
you when they reply to me.

Deidre Parkes of Hallmark's Public Relations dept. has informed me
that "no such book has been produced by Hallmark."

I'm afraid the only applicable resource I've found is the Web site I
mentioned earlier, which displays all the Hallmark Barbie Ornaments.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to find just what you wanted, and I certainly
hope one of my colleagues can find a Barbie book that contains all the
Hallmark ornaments.

Their number is listed there at the site, to see if there's a book. I
tried them yesterday but gave up -- be prepared for a very long hold!
