is more where they get oil right now and/or for the past 20 years
(before 1979 they were buying from Iran).

I can increase $$ for this quiestion. thanks.

You missed this bit :-

|According to the daily, Israeli National Infrastructure Minister
Yosef Paritzky considers the pipeline project as economically
justifiable as it would reduce the country's cost of oil imports. This
is currently very high, as Israel imports oil from Russia.|

The oil must be coming in by tanker.
The pipeline is a pipe dream - it would be blown up.

According to the following source, the bulk of Israel's oil is
imported from Mexico and Egypt. The source also refers to Israel's
diversification of its use of fuel, and reduction of its dependence on
oil - http://countrystudies.us/israel/75.htm
