Hi I am looking for video production software that is oriented towards assisting with 3-D computer animation, and more specifically motion capture. The program in question must be able to do one (1) or both of the following things: A.) Have the ability to convert/export live video (that was done for the purpose of motion capture...ie. just a bunch of points moving around) into a format that contains a simple scripted list of vectors. Any format type will do, as long as it's a list of streaming numbers representing the points in the live video. B.) Or, have the ability to splice up the live video into a series of still frames (automatically...that is, not just the ability to manulaly grab frames and save them off...instead, the ability to just click on "frame-ize this video" wherin we would end up with a bunch of image files representing the frames in the video. Thank you...if youre answer includes web URL's please indicate if they have a limited licence / temporary download available (with full functionality).. Have a good one! |

Reffering to your request for "have the ability to splice up the live video into a series of still frames (automatically...that is...", could you be asking for something like the "filmstrip" file format that Adobe Premiere and Photoshop supports, where you can take video footage in premiere, and the file format turns it into a "strip" of still images, which can then be altered, one after the other within photoshop? Also, Premiere, like many good video editing packages, can save off any video as nothing but still images, sequentially named. |

www.dvgarage.com has some affordable tools with free trials. I have seen the guy that runs this site on TechTV so I went to techtv.com and searched for "dvgarage". Lots of stories will be returned that give you an idea of what the software does. The following link talks about how their software can read motion capture data: http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/showtell/story/0,24330,3383905,00.html |
