I have an old plastic champagne bucket filled with 3 plastic miller High Life beer bottles and plastic ice. The motor has quit working. It was made by Bristol Motor Co.. There is a gear attached which turns the bucket. Mod# 444c-197-1 7a 4w 115v Do you know where I can locate a replacement. |

Many AC induction motors (especially 3 phase) are ?standard?. If you collate all the relevant data, such as induction (motor run / start capacitor) or brushed, poles (relates to speed), size, mounting flange dimensions, rating, spindle dimensions etc, you may find an equivalent from motor suppliers. Usually cheaper too then ?genuine? items. If you post all the details I (or someone else) may be able to find a substitute. Either that or employ someone to turn a handle :-) Best |

If you haven't, you should try cleaning the motor and gears with a solvent. Unless this is a very large bucket, a three phase motor is unlikely. For a three liter bucket the timing motor from a junked clothes or dish washer may turn the bucket, perhaps slower than you prefer. Advertising shops often have a variety of small low speed motors. More details may get some other suggestions. Neil |
