This stick of RAM arrived in an online order - defective. Of course,
the warranty was only effective with the manufacturer. However, this
stick of RAM is branded ONLY with a logo. There's a hologram (with the
logo and 'lifetime warranty' AND 'Genuine Memory') which wasn't able
to be photographed effectively, as well as the information on the two
images provided (Logo and barcode/numbers).

Image two: http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/5097/img21888na.jpg

I'd like to know who made this RAM module, so that we can contact them
for a replacement.

Notes: We've searched the web for the numbers in the photos to no
avail. Also, I've scrolled through the logos of dozens of memory
manufacturers on several sites - no matches.

Good luck!

hellekran...

Well I can't find the manufacturer, or even a matching image,
but I did find that RAM which is encapsulated as shown in the
image you posted, is found under the term RAMBUS. Your image
shows fasteners in all four corners of the covering, but the
coverings in most images are fastened at the top right and left
corners and the two bottom fasteners are spaced near the center
of the bottom, where the pins are. Since Samsung is a major
manufacturer of RAMBUS, I negated them from the search. See here:

The online order was some time ago - I wouldn't be surprised if the
warranty is expired. Mostly I want to know the answer. 'Who made the
RAM?' It's bugging me a lot that a company would be so ambiguous with
their branding. So, to Google Answers I turn!

hello

does your pc have any brand?

If someone sold you a pc , the warranty of the pc should cover the
defective memory module.

If the memory came as a spare part you should have a box and a bill
mentionning te brand.

If it s second hand hardware, pc2100 memory is quite old, i would be
surprised if the warranty still works.

I would be you, if your computer does not work with this memory, i
would first make sure the memory is really dead using memtest then
check the motherboard and buy another memory module, less time wasted

I don t think this memory is rambus(quite sure about that) and the brand is not:

micron
corsair
samsung
twinmos
pqi
pmi
danelec
samsung
infineon
kingston
crucial
viking

here is a link f u want to play around:

Hi!

I've got the same question!!! Which brand is it? Mine doesn't work to...

I bought the DIMM on 2004. I've got the bill, but it says "Generic", no brand.

It's all a mistery... Lifetime warranty... no brand... Maybe kingston?
It's the only brand i know with lifetime warranty... We'll have to
find out more...

If anybody find the answer, plz, write it here.

answer yet? Someone must know someone who worked at this company - at
some point!
