To roll out new P>C`s to users a Windows XP Pro build with Office 2003
, It`s multilingual and includes Japanese and French packs.
Everything is installed correctly and works well.. except,
In Microsoft outlook any mails sent with an attachment in Rich text
appear in the mail preview window as a completely different font.
This is only for the Title. Opening it is fine and there is no
corruption comes out no problem. Right click properties give the right
file name.
If the mail is in plain text it is fine.
Question.
How do get the double byte Rich text file attachment title to appear
in the correct font within the preview pane of Outlook 2003.

Click Tools->Options->Other, Preview Pane.
Under "Preview header" , select "Font...".
Select desired language (for example japanese) under Script combo box.
This will allow you to see multi-byte characters under preview pane.
