Is there some database or list of municipal water/wastewater plants in the
United States that use reverse-osmosis technology for treatment? Does
the EPA or some other entity track and collect this information?

You can search for treatment plants with reverse osmosis technology at
this EPA site:

http://www.epa.gov/cgi-bin/owmsrch

Enter [ 69 ], which is process code for RO.

The information is based on a 1996 survey, and you can only search one
state at a time. Many states come up empty for RO. Try a search on
Arizona, and you'll get one result:

SCOTTSDALE WATER CAMPUS SCOTTSDALE, CITY OF SCOTTSDALE MARICOPA 85251

EPA also makes 2000 data available -- the most recent data they have
-- but to access it, you need to download the entire dataset and then
parse it using MS Access (which, unfortunately, I don't have myself).

Should I post the details of obtaining this data as an answer to your question?

Sorry...the above link doesn't work.

Try this one instead:

Clarification to original question:

The link you provided give information on wastewater treatment
facilities only. While very helpful, Reverse Osmosis technology is
primarily used in drinking water treatment, and water reclamation
projects. This explains why many states bring back zero results - most
facilities do not use RO for wastewater treatment.

I'm a bit red-faced...I knew that, but my brain cells didn't kick in.

I'll let oyu know if anything else turns up.
