Need a transformer for the power but not too sure as US TV isn't as good quality as the UK. The whole PAL/SECAM issue. kate |

You will need to make sure you purchase a plasma television that has PAL/NTSC compatibility. The UK uses a system called PAL whereas the USA uses NTSC, although progress is being made with HD-TV (High Definition) which could eliminate the differing formats but this is likely to take many years yet! If you buy a plasma TV that has this dual compatibility then the only other issue will be the electrical differences in the UK/USA i.e, 240V compared to 110V. With a power converter the tv should work, but again it should be possible to buy a dual voltage plasma - but this is likely to be more expensive. I recommend this website (http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/index.html) and this page particularly (http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/bigfaq.html). It should answer any questions you have. Adam |
